Summary
Hostinger's renewal is about 4 to 5 times the intro price. Buy the longest term you will actually use, and budget for the domain from year 2.
Best for: Anyone buying or renewing Hostinger who wants the real multi-year cost, not the headline price

TL;DR: On hostinger.com (USD, checked 20 October 2026), Premium renews at $10.99/month ($131.88 a year), Unlimited at $16.99/month ($203.88 a year) and Cloud Startup at $25.99/month ($311.88 a year). The low intro price covers only your first prepaid term. On a 48-month Premium plan, years 2 to 4 cost only the domain renewal, and year 5 is the first full-price year at about $152.
Hostinger is one of the cheapest good hosts for the first term, and the renewal is where the cost rises. That isn't hidden: the renewal price is printed under every plan. But the jump is large enough that you should work out the numbers before you check out. Everything below uses the prices shown on hostinger.com/web-hosting and hostinger.com/pricing on 20 October 2026, in US dollars. Hostinger shows different prices in other regions and currencies (the Indian site, for example, prices in rupees), so check your own checkout.

Hostinger renewal prices in 2026
| Plan | Intro price | Term | Paid upfront | Renews at | Renewal per year | Renewal ÷ intro |
|---|---|---|---|---|---|---|
| Premium | $2.49/mo | 48 months | $119.52 | $10.99/mo | $131.88 | 4.4× |
| Unlimited | $3.49/mo | 48 months | $167.52 | $16.99/mo | $203.88 | 4.9× |
| Cloud Startup | $7.99/mo | 48 months | $383.52 | $25.99/mo | $311.88 | 3.3× |
Source: hostinger.com plan cards, USD, 20 October 2026. These intro prices were shown during Hostinger's Black Friday 2026 promotion, which the site lists as running 19 October to 14 December 2026.
Two details on the plan cards are worth noting:
- All plans are paid upfront. Hostinger says the monthly rate is "the total plan price divided by the number of months in your plan."
- The "regular price" and the renewal price are different numbers. Premium shows a regular price of $12.19/mo ($585.12 over 48 months), which is what the "80% off" is calculated from. The renewal is $10.99/mo. Budget with the renewal figure.
How Hostinger renewals work
Hostinger's Terms of Service (section 16) cover renewals:
- Services auto-renew by default at the end of each subscription period.
- You're charged "at then-current fees," which "may be higher or lower than the fees for the initial subscription period."
- Hostinger can change fees, including the renewal fees shown when you bought, with the change applying at your next renewal.
So the $10.99 shown today is Hostinger's current published renewal rate, not a guarantee for 2030. To see what you'll actually be charged, open hPanel and go to Billing → Subscriptions. The Renewal price column shows it, excluding taxes (Hostinger support).
Does a longer renewal term lower the price? The plan cards don't say which renewal term the "renews at" price assumes. Independent trackers report that the monthly renewal rate is the same whether you renew for one or two years (thatmy.com, August 2026). We couldn't confirm this on an official Hostinger page, so compare terms in hPanel when your renewal comes up.
What you'll pay in years 2, 3 and 5 (Premium, 48-month term)
Assumptions: Premium bought today at $119.52 for 48 months, a .com domain claimed free for year 1, and the current renewal price unchanged. Hostinger's domain page lists .com at a regular price of $19.99 a year. We use that for domain renewals, but your actual domain renewal price will appear in hPanel.
| Year | What you pay that year | Running total |
|---|---|---|
| 1 | $119.52 (all 48 months of hosting, prepaid) | $119.52 |
| 2 | $19.99 (domain renewal) | $139.51 |
| 3 | $19.99 (domain renewal) | $159.50 |
| 4 | $19.99 (domain renewal) | $179.49 |
| 5 | $131.88 hosting ($10.99 × 12) + $19.99 domain = $151.87 | $331.36 |
Four-year average: $179.49 ÷ 48 ≈ $3.74/month. Five-year average: $331.36 ÷ 60 ≈ $5.52/month.
If your domain is registered elsewhere, remove the domain lines: five years of hosting alone costs $119.52 + $131.88 = $251.40.
Email is extra after year 1. Premium includes "2 mailboxes per website, free for 1 year." We couldn't confirm the mailbox price after year 1 on a public page, so check your hPanel renewal list if you use Hostinger email.
The same 5-year math for Unlimited and Cloud Startup
- Unlimited: $167.52 + $203.88 (year 5) = $371.40 hosting, or $451.36 with four .com renewals ($79.96).
- Cloud Startup: $383.52 + $311.88 = $695.40 hosting, or $775.36 with domain renewals.
Why the 48-month term usually wins
Hostinger's renewal price applies from the first renewal, whatever term you started on. For Premium, every year after the intro term costs $131.88. Over five years:
- 48-month start: one intro payment ($119.52) + 1 renewal year ($131.88) = $251.40 hosting.
- 12-month start: one intro payment + 4 renewal years (4 × $131.88 = $527.52).
We couldn't see the 12-month intro price on the public page (it appears in the cart). Even if it were zero, a 12-month start costs more over five years than the full 48-month route ($527.52 against $251.40). Shorter terms make sense only if you're testing an idea you might drop within a year. The 30-day money-back window gives you a cheaper way to test anyway.
How to keep renewal costs down
- Buy the longest term you're confident about. The intro price is the cheapest hosting you'll get from Hostinger, and it's fixed for the whole term.
- Put a reminder 45 days before renewal. Auto-renew is on by default. A reminder gives you time to compare terms, downgrade, or move.
- Right-size the plan. If you only use one site, Premium's $10.99 renewal beats Unlimited's $16.99 by $72 a year.
- Know the refund rule. Hostinger's refund policy counts a processed renewal as a new transaction for the 30-day window, but domain renewals are non-refundable. If an unwanted hosting renewal goes through, act within 30 days.
- Check for a sale before renewing. Promotions mostly target new purchases, but during a sale it's worth checking whether starting a fresh long-term plan and migrating costs less than renewing.

FAQ
How much does Hostinger cost after renewal?
On hostinger.com in USD (20 October 2026), Premium renews at $10.99/month, Unlimited at $16.99/month and Cloud Startup at $25.99/month. That's $131.88, $203.88 and $311.88 a year respectively, before taxes. Prices differ by region and can change before your renewal date.
Is the Hostinger intro price locked for the whole term?
Yes. You pay the full term upfront at the intro rate, so a 48-month Premium plan costs $119.52 once and covers four years of hosting. The renewal price applies only when that term ends. Separate items such as the domain and mailboxes are free only for year 1.
Can I avoid the Hostinger renewal increase?
Not on the same plan. The terms say renewals are charged at then-current fees. You can reduce the impact by buying a long first term, downgrading to a smaller plan before renewal, or moving to another host. Some users start a new promotional plan and migrate, but that takes effort and new-customer rules may apply.
Does Hostinger refund renewals?
Hostinger's refund policy counts a renewal as a transaction for its 30-day money-back window, so a hosting renewal can be refunded if you cancel within 30 days. Domain renewals are excluded and can't be refunded. Some products, such as certain VPS plans, have extra conditions.
How do I check my exact Hostinger renewal price?
Log in to hPanel and open Billing → Subscriptions. The Renewal price column shows the amount for each service, excluding taxes. This figure overrides any public price, including the ones in this article.
