StackReview is a content site. We collect as little as we can get away with, we never sell your data, and this page explains the details in plain language.

Who we are
What we collect
- Basic analytics. Aggregated, non-identifying usage data such as page views, referring site, approximate country, device type and browser. We use this to understand which reviews are useful — not to profile you.
- Newsletter email addresses. If you subscribe, we store the email address you give us so we can send you the weekly review. Nothing else is required.
- Emails you send us. If you email us we keep the message and your address so we can reply and keep a record of corrections or requests.
We do not ask for or store payment details, and we do not knowingly collect data from children.
Cookies and local storage
StackReview stores two small pieces of data in your browser's local storage, both purely functional:
- Your light/dark theme preference, so the site looks right when you return.
- Whether you've already subscribed to the newsletter, so we stop asking.
These stay on your device, are never sent to third-party advertisers, and can be cleared at any time from your browser settings. Any analytics provider we use may set its own cookie or identifier; we configure analytics to be as privacy-preserving as the provider allows.

How long we keep data
- Newsletter addresses: until you unsubscribe or ask us to delete them.
- Emails you send us: up to 24 months, then deleted.
- Analytics: retained in aggregated form only.
Your rights and how to request deletion
You can ask us to confirm what we hold about you, correct it, or delete it entirely. Email hello@stackreview.online with the subject line "Privacy request" and we'll action it within 30 days, usually much sooner. Every newsletter also carries a one-click unsubscribe link.
